A wide black edge faces a much slimmer one, giving the flat band an uneven balance you can see at a glance. It is a small shift with a clear effect. When a familiar approach has stopped getting you anywhere, this can be your cue to make an adjustment. Keep the part that works. Change the part that doesn’t.
